After a hiatus of several years, the GGSL Shield returns by popular demand in 2025! The GGSL Shield is a 3 week tournament in the style of the great European soccer cups:

• Week 1 (Jan 17th) features an open draw (within each division), where any team can face any other, regardless of the standings.
• In Week 2 (Jan 24th), the 3 winners from the previous week, along with a "lucky loser" (selected by a draw from the teams that tasted defeat on Week 1) will advance to the semi finals. Another draw will determine the semi final matchups, with the remaining 2 teams playing a friendly.
• In Week 3 (Jan 31st), the teams advancing to the final play for the Shield, with the other teams playing friendlies.

Good luck to all teams! Have fun with this competition (but remember the GGSL isn't all about winning!)
